There are many great and spiritually rewarding positions available in the Women’s Network at Golden Hills, and a lot of them don’t require a big commitment either. Read on to see if there’s something that you might be interested in.

~ Low Commitment Ministry Positions ~
Ministry: Connections Position: Friendship Tea Hostess Description: One time commitment to host a friendship tea. Pray over fellowship time, potential for one-on-one Discipleship; prepare a coffee/tea brunch for approximately eight women on a Saturday.
Ministry: Disabilities Position: Sunday School Substitute Description: One Sunday per month for the 11:30am service. No prior experience is needed, every volunteer will be trained. # of positions available: 2 sub positions for both higher and low functioning children.
Ministry: Publicity Position: Sunday Table Helper Description: Works with ladies who have questions or who are seeking information about events or services. Helps with seasonal Bible study sign-ups. One to two Sundays per month, shift lasts 20 to 30 minutes between services. # of positions available: approx. 15
Ministry: Prayer Position: Prayer Team Member Description: You will be guided by the prayer team leader to pray over needs FOR the events and needs AT the events. The team will meet together for prayer as well as each member offering prayer through the year as we need to be “praying without ceasing.” There will also be the opportunity, if desired, to head up a prayer team for a specific event.
Ministry: Young Women’s Network Position: Young Women’s Network Team Member Description: Be a member of a team of young women who are involved in the Women’s Network events. Bridge the gap between age groups, create new ways to reach other young women, and stay culturally relevant yet theologically strong. Meet together with the other members of the team through the guidance of the Young Women’s Leader. There will be involvement with The Bridge and with Refuge.
Ministry: Women’s Bible study Position: Special Events Assistant Description: A fun position similar to an event coordinator, but on a smaller scale. Helps plan and execute events related to Bible Study. Coordinates with the decorating team to arrange set up, confirm decoration theme, and clean up. Responsible for hospitality for Bible Study events. Current events would include teacher forum (3 annually) and registration nights (3 annually). Commitment will upgrade to medium as we add one-time events like training seminars and special speakers. # of positions available: 1
Ministry: Women’s Bible Study Position: Special Projects Team Member Description: One time or seasonal projects that the Bible study team needs completed. Some examples would be sealing/labeling the fall mailer and delivering it to the post office, creating a database of Bible study attendees (information for input is provided), or making name tags for Bible study classes (usually 100—200 per quarter). This is a great way to be involved and use your skills, creative computer, or otherwise, without a large time commitment. # of positions available: 5
Ministry: Baptisms Position: Baptism Reception Dessert Helper Description: Will be responsible for calling and arranging for cookies and a cake after the baptism ceremonies at Golden Hills. She will also be a part of the team who is serving and fellowshipping with the people who attend. # of available positions: 1
Ministry: Service Position: House Cleaning Coordinator Description: Call and arrange house keeping for families in a crisis. # of available positions: 1
Ministry: Women of Faith Position: Travel Coordinator Description: This in an inspirational conference held annually, in San Jose or Sacramento. She will arrange the hotel accommodations and carpools for Golden Hills attendees. # of positions available: 2

~ Medium Commitment Ministry Positions ~
Ministry: Missions Position: Missions Assistant Description: She will take a large part in promotions and missions awareness. Some of the ways this ministry reaches out are through care packages, bookmarks with missionaries on them, donations, & power point presentations at women’s events. She will need to attend quarterly council meetings and remain current with women’s events, as she will be a part of working to coordinate the presentations with the event leaders. # Of Positions: 1
Ministry: Decorations Position: Decorations Team Coordinator Description: Meets regularly to brainstorm decorating themes for upcoming events. The team helps work on decorations and maintains supplies. She will work with the decorations team to decorate every function and event the women’s ministry presents.
Ministry: Moms In Touch International Position: Groups/Leaders Description: Moms In Touch International is two or more mothers, grandmothers, or anyone who is willing to meet for one hour each week and pray for their children, their schools, their teachers and administrators. Moms who believe that prayer makes a difference! To pray that our schools may be directed by Biblical values & high moral standards. To stand in the gap for our children through prayer. To pray that our children will receive Jesus as Lord & Savior, then stand boldly in their faith. To pray that teachers, administrative staff, and students would come to faith in Jesus Christ. To provide support & encouragement to moms who carry burdens for their children. To be an encouragement and a positive support to our schools. Out of all the schools in East Contra Costa county there are only a handful of schools covered in prayer. It is our goal to change that! Moms In Touch doesn’t only cover public school’s, it covers home schools, college age students, private schools, schools with special need children and more. With your time and your prayers we can make a difference.
Ministry: Women’s Bible Study Position: Teacher/Class facilitator Description: She will commit to leading women through a Bible study course in the role of discussion leader. Books are provided, as well as teacher support. An excellent opportunity to grow deeper in Christ. Prime opportunity to try a leadership position without getting overcommitted. Must be committed to completing the Bible study as well as being in class each week. Longest commitment is 12 – 13 weeks; shortest is 6 – 8 weeks. Application required.
Ministry: Women’s Bible Study Position: AM or PM Coordinator Description: She assists the Bible study administrator and assistant with practical operations of Bible study. Helps with class rosters, late registration, disbursement of teacher memos and class supplies, and works with caring hands liaison in relation to all morning or all evening classes. Recruits volunteers for coffee service, if necessary. Most time commitment is concentrated in August/September, December/January, and April.
Ministry: Women’s Bible Study Position: Encouragement Partner Description: Remember when Aaron held up Moses’ arms? Her position is to hold up our teacher shepherd. She will encourage her and pray with her. Assist with teacher encouragement, training, and recruitment. Commitment is flexible based on the needs of the teacher shepherd. Can also be applied to the administrator. *Good opportunity for someone with gifts of encouragement and/or prayer.
Ministry: Women’s Bible Study Positions: Discovery 1 Class Facilitator~ The Discovery 1 book, titled "Discovering the Christian Life" is designed to build a firm foundation for Christian life. The primary issues addressed are: "What does it mean to be saved?" "What does it mean to walk by faith?" and "How do I live for God?"
Discovery 2 Class Facilitator~ The Discovery 2 book, titled "Discovering Intimacy with God" helps to deepen the bond of faith between the believer and God. The primary issues addressed are: "How do I find out about God?" "Who has God revealed Himself to be?" and "How do I worship God?"
Equipping 1 Class Facilitator~ The Equipping 1 book, titled “Discovering Your Role in God’s Family”, is designed to help the believer understand their place in, and the importance of, the local church. The primary issues addressed are: “What is my role in church life?” “What is the church’s role in my life?” and “What is the church’s role in the world?”
Equipping 2 Class Facilitator~ The Equipping 2 book, titled "Discovering How to Share Your Faith", is designed to equip the believer to reach out to others with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The primary issues addressed are: "What is stopping us?" "What is your natural sharing style?" and "Who does God want me to reach?"
Description: The Discovery Series is a tool designed to bring "all to maturity" in Christ, by using the CCBT Six-Step Wisdom Process, as outlined in the leaders guide. She will commit to a season of facilitating a class. Attendance required at facilitator workshop prior to start of session to gather needed tools. Facilitator provides complete roster and attendance records to team leader. She offers support to her study group and other facilitators through prayer, discussion, encouragement, and love. She communicates prayer needs to prayer team leader and discovery team leader.
