Annie Bennett - Our Women’s Network Director has been at GHCC for nine years and has served as our Director for over six years now; she's loving most of it and challenged by all of it! She got connected through the drama ministry, but stepped into Women’s Network leadership in the fall of 2001. If she used coffee to describe her or her ministry philosophy she’d have to call it black. At the same time, she would have to further define it with some cream, sugar, and caramel. She says, “We are not slammed over the head with the Gospel — it is pure and true, and yet it comes to us in a relationship with Jesus Christ, the Living God.” While God has chosen to allow her to walk the path of widowhood, she still remains passionate about families — especially the family of God. She has four children that are as different as “the North, South, East, and West.” Next to enjoying them, she is passionate about leadership development and integrating the ministries at GHCC. She enjoys gardening, horses, and conversation.

Venita Kelly - Being Annie’s right hand (Assistant Director) team leader takes two brains…that’s why Venita is here. She is binder-queen of the world and has a knack for trying to keep Annie organized. And since that will take a long time, she’s pretty committed. Venita has been involved with the Women’s Network for four years following 15 years with the Recovery Ministry where she served in a variety of capacities including worship team and as a group facilitator. As for coffee, her pick is a toffee nut latte and “chai tea will do in a pinch.” Venita has six grandchildren. She enjoys knitting, crocheting, gardening, and reading. Time for actual gardening is a “virtual” experience these days. She is passionate about helping women discover how God has wired them, and through that, connecting them in service to Him.

Linda Bergeron – Linda, our Women's Network Team Builder, has been part of GHCC for almost 10 years and many of those years included involvement in the Women's Network. She has lived in Discovery Bay for over 25 years with her husband, Skip. They are part of a blended family, with three grown children who live locally: Chad, Troy, and Nichole. They have five grandchildren, ranging in age from four to eighteen. Being a grandma is one of her delights. Another of Linda's delights is making new friends, so it would not surprise us if you saw Linda in a coffee shop meeting with a new lady from church or talking with a lady who is looking to get connected at Golden Hills. Linda simply loves to help people move forward in their journeys with Jesus.

Meet our Women's Network Team

We value teamwork. Recognizing that God has wired each of us with a unique set of gifts, we strive to utilize the strengths of each woman. We would enjoy introducing ourselves so you can get to know the ladies at your table… If you should have questions for any one of us, we would be glad to chat with you.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” I Peter 4:10
